A Brief introduction to the Stewart BMW Water Pump

The BMW E36 & E46 water pumps are unfortunately well known for its catastrophic failures when the plastic impeller brakes up. The BMW Stewart Water Pump is a complete new design of the BMW water pump that has a strong metal impeller that will not fail catastrophically and also increases flow. This BMW Stewart water pump is a direct replacement pump designed to fit a wide range of BMW engines (6 cylinders) with no modifications. That includes accepting the Factory Fan Clutch. The front of the BMW High Performance Water Pump is stock appearing giving it that classic BMW look while the back is all business.

I put a Stewart Racing Pump in my 2000 E46 Sedan when it had 45K miles on the clock, the car now has 154K and the cooling system is still going strong.
