If you find that you need to reset the oil and inspection light and check fault codes for a 2001-2003 BMW and you already have the R5 FCX II tool. You do not need to purchase the FCX II-16 tool. All you need is the AB03 Adaptor and you are ready to go.

This adaptor may also be used with the R5/SRS tool (1994-2000) to make it compatible with the (2001-2003) models.

Good for owners who have multiple BMWs that is in both 1987-2000 and 2001-2006 categories.

If you find that you need to reset the oil and inspection light for a 1982-1986 BMW (15 Pin Connector) and you already have the R5 FCX II tool. You do not need to purchase the R5A tool. All you need is the AB02 Adaptor and you are ready to go. Please note that using the AB02 adaptor will NOT pull fault codes from your 1982-1986 BMW nor airbag codes. It resets the oil and inspection light ONLY.
